What is the process for becoming a consultant with Callaway Partners?
One of our Executive Recruiters will schedule a personal meeting with you. During that meeting, together, we will review your background, experience, education, and other credentials. In addition, we will work with you to determine the types of engagements you would enjoy as well as your future goals and objectives.

What kinds of benefits are available?
We constantly research and review market conditions to ensure our consultants receive competitive compensation. In addition, Callaway offers medical, dental, prescription, long-term disability, dental, Section 125 plan, paid-time-off (PTO), company 401k plan, continuing professional educations. Other voluntary benefits available include vision, critical illness insurance, short-term disability, and term life and AD&D insurance.

How am I paid, by W-2 or 1099?
Callaway consultants are paid by W-2 whereby Callaway pays for its portion of state, local, and federal taxes according to government regulations. In addition, in the event you travel to an out-of-town engagement, Callaway covers all travel expenses.

What is the average length of an assignment?
The average length of an engagement varies. We have engagements lasting as a few as one to two days to greater than a year. Callaway can provide engagements that meet our consultant’s desires and personal schedules. Flexibility is a benefit of being a Callaway consultant.

What happens when I am finished with a project; how do I get another project?
Callaway management works closely with our clients and consultants to track the progress of our engagements and determine tentative completion dates. Our Executive Recruiters and Management Teams actively begin planning your next engagement well before the completion of you current engagement to minimize down time.

What types of engagements do you typically have?
Callaway has a wide variety of engagements available to our consultants either on a project basis or as individual contributors working directly for our clients. Our service lines include Finance & Accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley, Internal Audit, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting Research, Litigation Support, and Bankruptcy.

How are consultants selected for assignments?
Consultants are selected for engagement based on a variety specific client requirements, personal experience, consultant interest, and consultant availability. 

What can I do to make myself more marketable and succeed as a consultant?
To be successful, a consultant should continue personal development by frequently updating skills in areas such as Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and technical accounting and auditing updates. Important intangible skills include effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent client service focus, professional integrity and ethics, flexibility, initiative, and positive attitude.
